Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Summary

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help drive high quality releases. The role will be to develop test strategy for projects, monitoring the test case coverage and evaluating the overall quality based on the requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Case & test data development using Test Management tool  
  • Functional User Story analysis 
  • Participate in Test Cases and Test Strategy review process 
  • Reviewing test cases 
  • Identify ensuring data integrity throughout the process 
  • Proactively identity test gaps, quality risk and process failures 
  • Provide overall system knowledge, particularly around inter-dependencies​ 
  • Escalate critical issues at the appropriate time, and help identify solutions and mitigation options 
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure high level of quality deliverables and client satisfaction 
  • Write and reviewing automation test results and supporting behavior driven development (using Cucumber).  

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Math or Engineering or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of 5 years professional hands-on testing experience within the Quality Assurance discipline 
  • Experience in API Testing
  • Experience in Database Testing
  • Knowledge of test and tool development methodology 
  • Scrum Agile experience 
  • Proficiency knowledge and experience in Software Development Life Cycle 
  • Hands-on experience in creating test strategies. 
  • Root Cause Analysis 
  • Experience with one or more of the following tools: Rally, Jira or equivalent, Confluence, Jenkins 
  • Any knowledge on automation tools such as Java/Ruby and Scripting with (BDD) Cucumber or equivalent.  

This role may require access to systems containing Regulated or Confidential data and is thereby subject to additional security and privacy controls.

The estimated compensation for this position includes an annual salary between $90,000 to $110,000 with a 10% annual bonus plan.
